Thank you so much Lou, for featuring this cute engagement session on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings. It fit in just perfectly with the precious little pup Paddington and the adorable heart balloon prop.

Ever heard of Trash the Dress photos? It is a common misconception that the dress has to get dirty. Do you have to go all out and destroy the dress you wore when you started a whole new chapter of your life? No way. Trash the Dress is about creativity and expressing yourself in a whole new way. Wearing this memorable article of clothing to some of the most relaxing, fun and (yes sometimes) messiest places you can think of. Express yourself! Besides, what will you do with the dress after the wedding photos? We never got Deirdre’s dress dirty but we sure did get a lot of great photographs! For Deirdre’s Trash the Dress photos, we headed to Sutro Baths in San Francisco. Our favorite part about Deirdre’s Trash The Dress session? Her dogs, of course!

Doesn’t Deirdre look stunning? And how much fun! Especially when pairing your bridal gown with fun fashion accessories. By the way, check out Deirdre’s gorgeous Maui Destination Wedding!

We love photographing Indian weddings in San Francisco, and we love photographing Indian engagement sessions even more. We always seem to end up with one or two San Francisco Indian weddings every year! This is even a little more unique, Bhavani and Suriyan got formally engaged in India and will be holding their traditional Indian wedding in the Bay Area. Bhavani and Suriyan will be having a traditional Indian ceremony followed with a more Western ceremony with tons of dancing as Bhavani is a dancer. Of course, they will be having Indian dancing at their reception! And I totally love the fact that we did the first half of their engagement session in traditional Indian clothes which by the way were the clothes that they formally got engaged in in the temple in India.

My favorite photo of the series? The amazing photo of the big “nest” letters amongst the treet. How appropriate!

Isn’t Bhavani’s sari beautiful? I always love the colors of an Indian wedding. Photos of Indian weddings are always so colorful because of the beautiful clothing and dresses!

Steampunk Wedding Photos

June 17th, 2010

Have you been dying for our Steampunk Wedding Photos? Violet and Eric were our amazing Steampunk Wedding couple that finally did the deed at San Francisco’s Verdi Club and put the whole amazing production together. Complete with a dramatic 5 minute ceremony where the band was playing “The Final Countdown” and the bridesmaid pulls out a gun at our officiant to hurry him up! Little did their guests know how much fun the night was doing to be when they were invited to “a raucous celebration of our nuptials.” Violet, an active member of the Bay Area Steampunk Community came out in full force! I love their attention to details, down to Violet’s goggles and Eric’s tophat with glasses. And don’t you just love Violet’s DIY felt wedding bouquet? I just died over her gorgeous purple boots! Our groom, Eric, was not to be missed too with his dapper blue hair, intricate soda bottle cap boutainiere and tophat with goggles! Oh so steampunk chic!

And what is there to not love family and wedding guests that all came dressed up and participated in the masquerade wedding? Enjoy all the photos we posted of the coolest dressed family members! As well as the photobooth photos!

Violet and Eric, thank you so much for making our Steampunk wedding dreams come true. We only wish that we can do this over and over again. Fear not, we know the journey doesn’t end here. We love you guys!!

Love, love the custom designed wanted posters that totally reflects the mood and period!

Yummy little felt bouquet details and all DIY! Isn’t it amazing?

Yup, we jumped over the fence for this shot. Hey are we punk or are we punk?

Don’t tell anyone but we secretly sneaked into the Muni Bus Depot for this one!

The coolest Steampunk Groomsmen shots! A la boyband!

Oh yeah, they sure know how to party alright, the night got more fun as it wore on! Even more dancing into the morning hours.

What a great way to get photos of each guest that were there! Especially since everyone came so dressed up!

Lora Ward - Wow - very much "out of the box" style of wedding. Unique, personalized and obviously "so them." Great photos, too!
Violet - Thank you guys again, it was AMAZING, and these pictures capture it so beautifully. We
