Lisa + Brett: Shade Ranch Wedding

February 13th, 2012

With Tinywater being a San Francisco wedding photographer, it means we have the amazing opportunity to travel to all of the hidden treasures the greater bay area has to offer. We first met Lisa and Brett for their Marin Headlands engagement session, which you can read about on our blog here! We were so excited when they told us about their Pescadero ranch wedding plans, and we can’t wait to share the loveliness we captured as their San Francisco wedding photographer.

Pescadero, California is a small farming and ranching town just an hour south of San Francisco, nestled on the coast between Butano and Pescadero Creeks. We loved the diverse landscapes and wildlife we came across as we explored the community during Lisa and Brett’s wedding day.

The gorgeous floral arrangements were created by the very talented Alena Jean. According to Lisa, Alena was born and raised in Half Moon Bay and has worked with flowers her whole life, starting by taking over her mother’s flower and garden store. We love how these flowers evoke the coastal yet marshy feel of Pescadero, and pair perfectly with Lisa’s color theme of orange and coral tones with navy and sage green accents. Being a San Francisco wedding photographer is so fun because it allows us to work with some of the most amazing vendors in the wedding industry!

We love the natural texture created by wrapping these boutonnieres with jute twine.

Lisa’s wedding gown was so elegant. We love the low cut back, and the way she accented the pleats with a crystal brooch.

As their San Francisco wedding photographer, we couldn’t wait to capture the first glance within this coastal redwood grove!

Where else can you find such diverse landscapes right next to each other except for our lovely Northern California coast? We are so lucky to be a San Francisco wedding photographer and be able to capture such beautiful love stories taking place in these incredible settings.

Lisa and her family prepared for the wedding ceremony at the Pescadero Creek Inn Bed and Breakfast. We love these hand carved signs!

One of the most magical and unique aspects of Lisa and Brett’s wedding was Lisa and her parents arriving to the ceremony by antique stagecoach! The town of Pescadero has many stories of how they came about their first stagecoach from an 1853 shipwreck, which was put to good use around the community, so it was so fun and fitting for it to be incorporated into this wonderful wedding!

We loved their rustic hillside wedding ceremony! Afterwards we headed to the Shade Ranch barn for a fun reception, and explored Pescadero’s fields and forests for some beautiful bride and groom portraits.

Karen & Mike: San Francisco Wedding Photos

February 9th, 2012

Tinywater was so lucky to be Karen and Mike’s San Francisco wedding photographer back in October of 2010! We wanted to share a sneak peek of some of our favorite portraits of Karen in celebration of her recent birthday (hooray, happy birthday!) from their wedding which took place at the Old First Presbyterian Church and Town Hall Restaurant in San Francisco.

Karen and Mike explain that Karen is more urban while Mike is more nature, and we could definitely see the two sides come together beautifully for their wedding day. As their San Francisco wedding photographer we explored the city together for it’s graffiti adorned walls and unique public art sculptures, but also made sure to walk through Golden Gate Park and Ocean Beach, where San Francisco’s natural beauty is revealed. When we share more of their reception decor, you’ll see the ‘refined rusticity’ that came together with all of the awesome DIY projects Karen put together!

Are you as crazy about Karen’s Vivienne Westwood shoes as we are? We love the pop these bright red hearts gave to her wedding day outfit! One of our favorite aspects of being a San Francisco wedding photographer is seeing all of the unique twists each bride brings to their big day!

These girls were so fun to hang out with! We found some cool alleyways covered in murals and graffiti to take some fun bridesmaid group photos with Karen and her friends.

The Town Hall Restaurant walls were decorated with cute and quirky quotes written on the chalkboards.

As a San Francisco wedding photographer, we love using the unique public art sculptures around San Francisco as fun backgrounds for bride and groom portraits! Karen and Mike were so awesome in front of the camera, and all of our adventuring around the city helped us churn out some incredible photographs.

Absolutely in love with the reflection we captured in this wedding day portrait as Karen and Mike’s San Francisco wedding photographer! We can’t wait to share more from their fabulous wedding in the next couple weeks. For now, happy birthday, Karen! ♥

Melissa & Kevin: Sneak Peek!

February 9th, 2012

Couldn’t wait to share a sneak peek from Melissa and Kevin’s gorgeous San Francisco wedding! We are loving the commotion around these two when we made our way into the streets during the Occupy SF march!

Sacramento Newborn Photography: Harper

February 8th, 2012

Today Tinywater is wrapping up our week of newborn photography by introducing the adorable Harper with a few images from her Sacramento newborn photography session! Harper visited us in our Sacramento studio with her lovely parents, Brittany and Jason. We were so excited to be able to capture this gorgeous little girl in the first few weeks of her life!

When baby girl Harper came into the studio a few weeks ago for her Sacramento newborn photography session she was an absolute angel! We loved bundling her up in cozy blankets and baskets, and it was so special for us to be part of her very first photo shoot.

The black and white photographs from Harper’s Sacramento newborn photography session are some of our favorites. It is pretty amazing how small those toes are! We love the family portraits we got of Harper being hugged by mom and dad, Brittany and Jason. These Sacramento newborn photography images will be great for sending out birth announcement cards to their family and friends.

The natural light was perfect for our studio shoot. We love being able to provide Sacramento newborn photography to families because we want to capture how tiny these babies are at just a few weeks old! They grow up so quickly and we know how precious these moments are to parents.

Harper has the cutest baby wardrobe! We can’t get enough of these pink lace bloomers, floral baby headbands, and her strawberry beanie that her mommy brought along for her Sacramento newborn photography shoot. She looked so cozy as she drifted off to sleep on her plush white blanket.

These little hands are absolutely tiny! She kept grasping daddy’s hand as we continued on through her newborn photo session.

All bundled up and ready for a little rest after the hard work baby Harper put in for our Sacramento newborn photography session here at Tinywater. We were all smiles when Harper and her family came in to view her photos just the other day, and we hope these images inspire you to pay us a visit at our midtown Sacramento studio for your newborn and family portraits!

Sacramento Newborn Photography: River

February 7th, 2012

More baby cuteness this week from Tinywater‘s Sacramento newborn photography session with baby River. We visited River and his family at their lovely Sacramento home just four weeks after he was born.

Since this Sacramento newborn photography session was on location at River’s house, we were able to get a peek at all of River’s toys and goodies in his room, just awaiting the day that he can play with all of them!

How precious is this little boy all wrapped up in blue? River’s parents loves yoga, running, and meditation. We just know he is going to be such a sweet boy growing up in such a beautiful family! We were so lucky to be able to spend the day with these guys as we captured their images during our Sacramento newborn photography session.

I love how these black and white photos came out from River’s Sacramento newborn photography session. The family was dressed in black with little River in white to create this perfect contrast between him and the ‘grown-ups’.

Heehee – this little guy already looks like a thinker! We can’t wait to take more photos of baby River as he grows up!

River’s little pup was nearby the entire Sacramento newborn photography session keeping a watchful eye on us to make sure his new little brother was protected from harm!

Some of our favorites from this shoot were the images of River and his parents hands. A modern take on the family and baby portraits!

This quiet moment between River and his mommy and daddy is absolutely precious.

We were so happy to have the whole family present for our Sacramento newborn photography session. In addition to their puppy who made a guest appearance in a few of the photos, big sister Savina was able to join us for some fun family portraits.

We love how tiny River’s feet are compared to his new family’s! We here at Tinywater feel absolutely blessed to be able to capture images like these from our Sacramento newborn photography shoot, and to be able to make these memories last a lifetime for each family.
