Dionne and Damien’s San Francisco City Hall wedding was one of Tinywater‘s absolute favorites of 2011. With no guests in tow, we made our way down to San Francisco’s historic City Hall building on 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place to capture these two exchanging their vows and rings. We love the ornate scrolls and styling of Civic Center building which is an example of neoclassical Beaux-Arts architecture, a monument created for the City Beautiful movement of the late 1880′s.
These two looked perfect as we waited for their San Francisco City Hall wedding ceremony to begin.
As Dionne and Damien exchanged their vows, rings, and first kiss, we snapped tons of pictures to make sure to capture each moment for them to later share with their family and friends. The couple was planning on having a big party in their hometown of Atlanta a little after their San Francisco City Hall wedding.
After the ceremony the fun began. We loved being able to wander the halls of the historic building to capture unique bride and groom portraits. The natural light coming through the windows was just right.
The grand staircase at the front of the building was perfect for staging Dionne and Damien’s first married couple portraits after their San Francisco City Hall wedding ceremony. We love that other business is carrying on as usual around them with them totally unaware of anyone else due to their newly marital bliss!
More gorgeous couple portraits between these two. Can you believe Damien chased Dionne for almost a year before she agreed to go out with him? Now 8 years later but still madly in love, they finally tied the knot. One of our favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is hearing each couple’s unique love stories!
These enormous windows provided the great light and were too pretty to pass up portrait opportunities with them.
It’s official! As we headed outside of Dionne and Damien’s San Francisco City Hall wedding, we were all smiles.
We can’t WAIT to show you what we have coming up next. Dionne and Damien opted for a little bride and groom picnic celebration, and we were invited!
