Our dear friends Matthieu and Regina recently had an intimate civil ceremony at San Francisco City Hall. With their actual wedding coming up and taking place in France, we were so happy to be able to be part of this intimate gathering at San Francisco City Hall.
We love these photos of Matthieu and Regina getting their paperwork ready for the civil ceremony. The sunlight filtering in through the many windows inside San Francisco City Hall’s gorgeous architecture was perfect as always for this very special occasion.
Regina carried a simple bouquet of seven pink and blush peonies, perfectly reflected in Matthieu’s light pink striped tie. Matthieu’s single orange rose in his boutonniere provided this civil ceremony with another little pop of color.
We all looked on with big smiles as the judge began the ceremony inside San Francisco City Hall. We couldn’t have been any happier to witness our friends proclaim their love for each other.
The rings and vows were exchanged, and the judge gave the okay for the bride and groom to kiss! It was a joyous moment in front of Matthieu and Regina’s small and intimate gathering of family and friends at the top of the grand staircase at San Francisco City Hall. After the ceremony commenced, it was time to borrow the happy couple for just a few portraits to celebrate their day.

One of our favorite parts of capturing weddings and elopement ceremonies at San Francisco City Hall is how bustling with energy it always seems to be. There are always meetings and business going on around the ceremonies, but these couples always find a quiet, intimate moment to share between the two of them in the midst of it all.
We couldn’t help but have a few giggles before we left the building. Aren’t they just the cutest?
Regina and Matthieu are about ready to scoot off to France for their real wedding! We can’t thank them enough for being so amazing and allowing us to take part in their San Francisco ceremony and wish them the best with their nuptials abroad! ♥
