Having these two as some of our best friends, we were ecstatic when Wei asked us to be their Lake Tahoe wedding photographer and help surprise his wife, Diane, with an intimate vow renewal ceremony. It is so beautiful to see two people so in love, not to mention impressive that this was to celebrate their 12th anniversary! We can’t wait to share this sweet day which took place at the brand new, super gorgeous Basecamp Hotel located at 4143 Cedar Avenue in South Lake Tahoe.
Wei took care of all of the details, along with the help of our master photographer, Caroline. Secretly purchasing a dress for Diane, packing up their wedding keepsakes, coordinating with Diane’s workplace to take a few days off, Wei teamed up with A Bud and Beyond to provide the event and floral design for this intimate affair. We were so happy to work alongside this talented vendor again as Wei and Diane’s Lake Tahoe wedding photographer. It was a perfect day for an outdoor ceremony and we couldn’t wait to see the look on Diane’s face when she realized what was about to happen!

As their Lake Tahoe wedding photographer, we stealthily captured Wei and Diane as they made their way to the lakeside ceremony site. The look on Diane’s face as she spotted us was absolutely priceless! We could not wait for the festivities to start and to be able to witness a culmination of their very long and loving relationship.
Wei recited his vows and the tears started to flow. It was hard not to get emotional when you could feel the incredible amount of love these two shared for one another.
“My dearest Diane, it was 12 years ago that we first pledged our commitment to one another, but it seems like just yesterday that I was standing across from my bride.
We have been through a lot together – laughter and tears, joy and sorrow – and yet, through all of those times, I have loved you every step of the way. Today I want to renew those vows again and pledge my love and life to you. I promise to be there for you in sickness and in health, and through all our life together.
Today, at the beginning of our 12th year as husband and wife, in the presence of our friends, I renew my wedding vows. I still promise to love you, honor you, cherish and keep you. I continue to want you, for better or worse, for richer or poorer. Whatever the future may hold for us I am eagerly awaiting what life may bring us.
