We here at Tinywater were so excited to capture all of their fun vintage inspired barn wedding photos at the reception following Maia and Alex’s traditional Jewish ceremony outdoors at Ocean Song Farm and Wilderness Center. “Located in the serene coastal hills of Sonoma County, guests are delighted by the rustic and elegant beauty and magical qualities of this place.”
As soon as we caught a glimpse of the Ocean Song Big Barn we couldn’t wait to get inside for a few peeks at their celebration room and indoor stage! The Sonoma County location really is the best of both indoor and outdoor weddings, with something to please any bride’s preference, and as a wine country photographer, we couldn’t wait to start snapping some of Maia and Alex’s barn wedding photos.
The vintage wildflower inspired floral arrangements were designed by Heather over at Blue Orchid Floral. Heather gathers all of her materials from the San Francisco Flower Market and local growers which really allowed her to create some beautiful centerpieces for Maia and Alex’s reception. We love that they could have been handpicked right outside the barn from the Ocean Song property!
The guest seating cards were simple with an art deco design twist. We love the vintage display created with twine and clothespins created by Maia’s event coordinator, Jubilee with Jubilee Lau Events!
Capturing the couple’s barn wedding photos was so much fun, and everyone had a great time on the big dance floor inside Ocean Song’s Big Barn! Everyone was smiling when the father daughter dance began.
One of our favorite parts of this indoor reception was the lighting – twinkle lights hung from the rafters and the walls were lit up with warm accent lights. The lighting made all of our barn wedding photos so pretty and warm.
Instead of traditional cake stands, Maia and Alex’s wedding cakes stood atop stacks of their favorite vintage books! Details like this paired with the cute bell jars filled with moss and fresh wildflowers are so special and inspiring, we couldn’t help but share!
Isn’t the Ocean Song barn just lovely and so inviting? Next post we’ll show off a few of our favorite couple portraits from Maia and Alex that we captured on their perfectly foggy wedding day.
